It’s been a while since the BlackBerry Torch 2 (BlackBerry 9810) popped up, but we’ve received a few in the wild shots of the phone thanks to Mr. Blurrycam. There has been a promise as well of some distinctly non-blurry goodies coming very, very soon that will show off this handset in all its glory.
Here is the front of the BlackBerry Torch 2
And the back of the BlackBerry Torch 2
As you can see, this is clearly an evaluation device, but seeing as there have been no rumors of the July launch date on AT&T being delayed, we assume this is a close to final release unit. For those unfamiliar with this particular BlackBerry, it does have the traditional physical QWERTY keyboard the brand is so well known for, but it’s a slider.
This is also one of the first devices running version 7 of the BlackBerry operating system, and paired up with a 1.2GHz processor, we should see some blazing speeds out of this handset once it hits the store shelves. Here are the specs known so far from a spec sheet leaked to CrackBerry.
BlackBerry Torch 2 Tech Specs (Subject to change)
- 1.2 GHz processor
- 3.17-inch TFT LCD (640 x 480)
- 768MB of RAM
- 8GB internal memory
- MicroSD HC slot up to 32GB
- 5MP rear camera with 720P HD video recording
Thanks to the folks at Negri Electronics for hooking us up.
We’ll have a lot more to show off of the BlackBerry Torch 2 very soon, so stay tuned!
What do you think of this new BlackBerry handset so far?
